January 12th

Tomorrow is already February 12th! Time to get the camera ready for more pictures!!! I get so excited for the 12th every month. Such a great way to get some random everyday shots that I normally wouldn't take. I wonder what's in store for tomorrow----Valentine's day party, Survivor season premier, snow?? Here's a layout I completed with my January 12th pictures. I'm not a big fan of creating 2-page layouts, but I think it turned out ok.

Challenge #16: Glitter, Hearts, & Felt

This week's challenge at Scrap Whispers is from DT member, Nilsa! Nilsa challenges you to make a Card, Tag or ATC (artist trading card) with 3 components - Glitter, Hearts and Felt.

I created a couple cards for this challenge--just in time for Valentine's Day!!!

Fish Lips

I bought this clear overlay a long time ago and finally decided to use it. The clear overlay was placed on top of the patterned paper, photo, letter stickers, and journaling block. This adds a very cool affect with the fishing phrases showing lightly on top (although made for a difficult picture--I couldn't get a good picture without a shadow of my hand!). A quick simple layout!

Scrapbook Circle Kit

Lately I've been researching scrapbooking kits online. Besides design team kits, I haven't had a subscription to a kit since last summer---and I really, really miss them! There are literally hundreds of different scrapbooking kit clubs out there, but I think that I've found one that I will love---Scrapbook Circle. I've been stalking their kits for a little while and I think they have the perfect mix of new paper and embellishments. I also think their design team totally rocks and puts out some amazing inspiration. So, I've made the leap and I've signed on for a 6 month subscription (at a great price---$25 + shipping and handling!!!). I hope the February kit comes quick---I'm too excited to wait!!!!!

Feb. M2R Challenges

New month---new challenges! The design team at Moments to Remember has come up with some new challenges. Stop over to the message board for lots of inspiration and FUN!!

Melissa's Stair Step Fold Card Challenge: My challenge for you this month is to make a Stair Step Fold Card! They are alot of fun to make! You can make little scenes out of them or just decorate as you wish! (Directions on how to make this card are here:http://moments-2-remember.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=5244 )

Valerie's Layout Challenge: For this challenge, I want you to create a layout with 2 or more photos that are either stacked on top of each other or side by side to make a straight line of photos across the page either vertically or horizontally. You have to at least use 2 photos, but you can use more that that if you want.


Mara's Strips Challenge: This month it's all about Strips!!! Using strips on your layout is a great way to get the most mileage out of your patterned paper. My challenge this month is to use paper strips on your layout. No other requirements, just use some strips!!
