Challenge #18: Blurry Photos
Scrap Whispers challenge #18 really is just that!! A challenge. We want you to dig out those out of focus, blurry photos that normally you wouldn't even dream of scrapping! We want to see the bad ones from the bunch and for you to scrap them and make them look pretty!
I decided to scrap some Christmas photos of me and my son playing around with our reindeer antlers. My husband is terrible at taking pictures and they always seem to end up blurry. I printed a few of these off really small so that you wouldn't notice that the resolution wasn't that great. Stop over to the Scrap Whispers blog to see what the other design team member creations!

Felt Buttons
This past week I've been busy sewing these cute little buttons! I just love them!! I was inspired by an etsy shop: Vintage Remnants. I've been really into felt lately. It's cheap and you can make just about anything with it! I can't wait to put these embellishment to use in a layout. I also can't wait to make more little goodies---maybe some shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day??!
Spoiler alert!!!! These little felt embellishments will be included in the March Moment's to Remember kit!!!! I'm so excited to contribute to the kit this month and can't wait to share it with you.

Mary: Mrs. A. Lincoln
Mary by Janis Cooke Newman
rating: 3 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very long book, but well worth the read. It has sparked my interest into learning more about Abe & Mary Lincoln--and finding out what truths were actually told in the book. I liked how the book moved back and forth between time periods. Definitely recommended especially to those who are into history (or historical fiction).

Challenge #17: You're My Best Friend
This week at Scrap Whispers we are scrapping our best friends. Celebrate your best friends, whether they're your significant other, your pet, your girlfriends, or your children!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use any or all of the lyrics of Queen's "You're my best friend" in a layout, card or altered item. Use the words as your title or journaling. As an extra twist, use the colors pink, red, and white somewhere in your layout.
Here's what I created (with my new Scrapbook Circle kit!!!):
I hand sewed the word "love" onto a small piece of clear transparency (I actually just cut a small piece off of an old page protector). This allowed me to place the word anywhere on the layout. Super cool!!!!
Stop over to the Scrap Whispers blog to check out what the other DT member created. You will also see a You Tube video with lyrics to the song.
