Step Into My World

Today is MARCH 12th!!!!! Time to get out those camera's and start snapping away! Definitely one of my favorite days of the month. It's always so cool to go back and look at all your pictures. A sure way to see inside someones life.

Last night I finished my February 12th layout---just in time! I had a lot of fun with this layout. Did a lot of sanding and distressing. Fun stuff!

Challenges:
12 of 12: 12 random picture taken throughout the day on the 12th of the month.
Scrapping the Music: My title is from this week's song--"Hello" by Sugarbomb. The "step into my world" line was just perfect for this layout!
Mon Ame Memories: Calia posted a fun recipe challenge this week on the forum. My layout had to contain the following "ingredients"---
* 2 or more photos
* 3 patterned paper
* 6 flowers
* Journaling
* Felt
* Butterflies
* Some bling (glitter, stickles, gemstones)
Pencil Lines: I used this weeks sketch for my layout.

I Am Green Today

This week's song at Scrapping the Music is fun song--"Colors" by Kira Willey. I just HAD to scrap these photos of Dylan at Christmas in his new Hulk attire. Perfect for this song!

Pictures of You and Me

I just love this fun picture of me and Dylan!

Challenges:
Scrapping the Music: The title came from last week's song Pictures of You by The Last Goodnight. I just love this song!!
Sketch This: The sketch was posted way back in October.
***I also added my own personal little challenge to this layout. This was the last layout I completed at the retreat last weekend. My ride was leaving in 1/2 hour and I had just finished a layout. Instead of packing up I decided to challenge myself to complete a layout within the 1/2 hour time frame. Wow! It was a whirlwind 1/2 hour!!! My layouts usually take me an hour (or so...). It's a simple layout, but I love the results!

Supplies used for this layout:
Making Memories: Noteworthy patterned paper

My Minds Eye border sticker

Prism Cardstock

American Crafts Thicker Stickers: Poolside & Rootbeer Float

Heidi Swap small white flower
Making Memories clip (clip part was broken off to look like a brad)
Tim Holtz Grungeboard

Sheer ribbon

Felt green flower

May 12th, 2008

Back into the challenges!!!! The concept behind this layout is that on May 12th I took 12 random pictures throughout the day. I tried to take one picture during each hour of the day. Just a fun way to record our everyday life.

This layout was created using the August MemoryWorks Express kit. I have had soooooo much fun with this kit this weekend. Check back this week for more layouts using this awesome kit!!!

-Mon Ame Memories: Paper Amour Crop Challenge #10--create a layout using a decorative edge somewhere on the layout.
-Scrapping the Music: This was a challenge a few weeks back. I used the song- You're Going to Miss This by Trace Atkins as the sub-title to my layout.
-Creative Scrappers: I used this sketch as my inspiration.

I have had so much fun playing along with the Scrapping the Music challenge blog that I decided to do the same thing over at Moments to Remember. Sentimental Mood

This picture puts you in a "Sentimental Mood". A view from the cabin during vacation on Star Lake, MN.

Challenges:
Scrapping the Music- This week's challenge was a little different. Instead of a top 40 hit, the song this week is "Sentimental Mood" by Duke Ellington and John Coltrane. This song doesn't have any lyrics. I grew up listening to a lot of this type of music. For me the song took me to this lake and the calming sense that you feel when you are there.

Sketch This- Layout was inspired by last week's sketch.

The Perfect Day

This was such a fun layout to put together. I was really excited to start using my June MemoryWorks Express kit. There is some really awesome paper in there! I love the little tree!!

Challenges: (they are old ones, but still fun!!!)
Snapdragons- This was a challenge from earlier this month that I didn't get to. The challenge was to scraplift one of the layouts previously created by the Snapdragons design team. This is the layout that I choose to scraplift by Jennifer.

Scrapping the Music- This is another old challenge from the end of May. The title for this layout was inspired by the song "Perfect Day" by Hoku.

Lost in the Moment

I'm finally back into the swing of things!!! It felt sooooo good to get back into my scrap "closet" and create again. I printed up 60+ pictures, did some searching through online galleries, and stopped in at the local scrapbooking store and FINALLY found my motivation again. But, I'm back and I already starting another layout!

Challenge:
Scrapping the Music: This week's song is "Lost in this Moment" by Big and Rich. Although the song has a big wedding theme to it, I thought this picture was perfect for this title. I know this picture will be treasured by my family for many many years to come.

Random Chaos: This is a new challenge blog for me. During my "break" I found a few more challenge blogs to help get me up and scrapping! This week's challenge is to create a layout using shaped cardstock or patterned paper somewhere in the layout. I just love all the new shapped paper available right now. For this layout I used a piece of Jenni Bowlin shapped paper.

Sketch This: I used this sketch as my motivation for the layout-

Moments to Remember: Cheryl's June challenge is to use a transparency somewhere in the layout. I used a Heidi Swapp clear butterfly to accent this page. I attached the butterfly with a jewel brad.

Shine

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!!! I plan to scrap as much as I can this weekend! I will try to post layouts as I get them completed. Lots of challenges going on this weekend in cyber world.

Here's a layout I completed of my husband telling a story. He is such a storyteller, and he's pretty good at it too. I just love to watch him in action.

Challenges:
-Scrapping the Music: this week's song is "Shine" by Anna Nalick. I've never heard this song before, but I've come to really like it. I thought the lyrics fit great for this photo of Tim shinning in the spotlight.

-Sketch This: I used this week's sketch #48. I love using these sketches. They are a great springboard for a layout.

Little Waltz

Even in a crazy-madhouse weekend, I managed to get one layout completed! This layout was created with 2 challenges in mind. This week's song at Scrapping the Music was "Little Waltz". I didn't get it completed and photographed in time to make the slide show, but it was a great song and I just HAD to scrap it! I also used a sketch from Sketch This to complete the layout. Each Tuesday Sketch This will post a different sketch. Go check it out. All sketches are great to use for layouts OR cards!

Love Like This

Here I go again......challenge time!!!

Scrapping the Music: this weeks song is "Love Like This" by Natasha Bedingfield. I decided that this was my perfect opportunity to scrap a layout of my husband.

Scrappy Girl Designs: this week it was Origin's turn to post a challenge on the Scrappy Girl Designs message board. Origin's challenge was to complete a layout using 5 or more fonts. I went a little crazy at the LSS Friday night and bought "a few" packs of Thickers stickers. I love Thickers!!!!

Turn it Up!

This was a really fun layout. I combined a few challenges to make this layout. It made it a little more interesting!

Scrappy Girl Designs April Challenge #1: Each week in April the design team at Scrappy Girl Designs will be posting a challenge. This week was Nikki's turn. Her challenge was to create a 6x12 layout that also included bling and rub-ons. It was kinda strange to work in such a "skinny" space, but it was fun!

MemoryWorks April Challenge #1- Scrapbook Recipes: Throughout the month of April Lacey is posting challenges on the MemoryWorks consultant message board. This first challenge was to create a layout or card using a sketch that she provided. I used her sketch for this layout!

Scrapping the Music
Challenge #31- Turn it Up: Lastly, Scrapping the Music posts a new song each week to use as inspiration. The song this week is "Turn it Up" by Aaron Lines. I used the song title for my title in this layout.

Phew! I know I'm kinda crazy, but it was fun putting everything today. Surprisingly it went really quick AND it was FUN!!!!
