MemoryWorks has decided to do some revisions to their current monthly kit program. Here's the e-mail I received last week:
We are thrilled to announce some exciting changes to our MemoryWorks Express program!
After evaluating our monthly kit program over the past two years, we are excited to announce some changes that are sure to delight you and your customers. Rest assured that you will continue to receive the same great product-packed, coordinating kits you've come to love and expect, however we are streamlining each kit in order to add more flexibility, more creativity, and more inspiration than ever!
MW Express: Now only $29.95 per Month!
You and your customers will continue to receive an awesome product-packed kit at an amazing value, giving you a little more wiggle room in your scrapbook budget each month!
MWExpress Changes: (Effective January 2008)
New Lower Price!
The very best news of all is that we will be reducing the price of each kit to only $29.95, with a reduced shipping cost of $6.50, per month. What more could you want from a fabulous monthly kit program?
New & Improved Kits!
With the new price reduction, our monthly kits will no longer include a set amount of patterned paper, cardstock, altered items and ribbon. Instead each monthly kit will include varying amounts of designer paper, cardstock and embellishments. This new change will allow us the flexibility to add all of the hottest, trendsetting products that are available right now in each monthly kit, and not be confined to any specific sizes, numbers or quantities. Plus, we'll be able to add more of the fun embellishments and elements to finish all of those layouts and projects you create each month.
New Ideas & Creativity!
You and your customers will love the brand new Idea Express PDF, an added feature to our new and improved kits! Our Idea Express PDF will be packed with inspiration and ideas highlighting the contents of each kit. Each Idea Express PDF will feature sketches and samples from PageMaps, showcasing ideas for layouts, cards and projects, along with some suggestions for altered items and product enhancements from our very own MemoryWorks catalog. This PDF will be released each month in our Idea Express email on the same day that the kit is announced. This will give you and your customers more creatvity and inspiration by allowing you to see all of the exciting projects you can create with your MWExpress... with time to add a subscription before the kits are shipped out.
We hope you're just as excited as we are about these new changes!
I am super excited about the upcoming changes. I will keep everyone updated as I receive more information. This monthly kit club is a subscription, but can be canceled at ANY TIME! Let me know if you are interested in purchasing a kit for yourself!
Here's a little peak of the January 2009 kit:

Scrap Whispers Reveal!
Here it is!! Team 2 of the Scrap Whispers challenge!
Here is the layout that we started with:
I started by scraplifting my own layout based on this layout. I then passed my layout to the next person who scraplifted MY layout. Her layout was passed to another person...and so on and so forth. It was so fun to see the progression of layouts that come forward.
Here are Team 2's layouts:

Believe
Last night I actually had a chance to scrap again---during a weeknight!!! Wow!!! I decided to participate in the Creative Scrappers One Hour Sketch challenge. I've done a few of these in the past and they are so fun. Creative Scrappers posts a sketch at 8pm. You have one hour to complete your layout based on the sketch and 15 minutes to upload a picture. One hour is cutting it pretty close for me. I'm a s....ll.....oooo....www scrapper. This doesn't give me much time to ponder things, BUT it helps me stay focused and get it done!
Here's the sketch:Here's my layout:
I used some odds and ends that I had leftover from my November Moments to Remember kit. I'm really excited and happy with how it turned out.
PLUS!!!!! After the challenge is completed a random drawing is done with all the participants for a prize. Guess what??!!!! I WON!!!! Here's what I won: An awesome kit provided by Color Me Daisy. Thank you!!!!!

Scrap Whispers: Challenge #6
This week your challenge is to scrap about a "Sticky Situation". This will be open to your interpretation!!
To kick you off - some thoughts to ponder and maybe to spark some ideas:
Someone you meet has their zipper down;
Something stuck in your teeth;
Somone literally got stuck in something;
Someone is wearing something ugly and they asked you how they looked;
Uncomfortable or difficult situations;
How to handle that situation;
Famous family story about how uncle albert was corned by a bear;
Youve eaten something really sticky;

Scrap Whispers Update!!!!
Scrap Whispers has a new look! Stop over to the Scrap Whispers blog and check it out!
Also, sign-ups for the next Scrap Whispers round #2 is happening RIGHT NOW!!! This is your chance to participate in a super fun challenge. Here's the skinny:
What is Scrap Whispers?
Remember that game you used to play as a kid? Where you secretly whisper a phrase to the next person sat in a circle, who then whispers it to the next person and so on? The last person announces the phrase out loud and this usually results in a completely different phrase than the one you started off with?!
Well, thats basically how scrap whispers works too. Only with scrapbook layouts instead of a phrase!
How Does it work?
Firstly you sign up by sending an email to: Gh26@sky.com with your full name, email address and a link to your blog if you have one. Each game will last for 2 months, after which we will open sign ups again. ---make sure to mention that I (Sarah) sent you!!!!!
You then get allocated to a team of other participants. In your team, you will have a team leader who will be a member of our design team.
Each main whispers challenge runs for 2 months in total and will be co-ordinated by your team leader. It will involve you scraplifting one layout that is passed to you. I start by scraplifing a layout and then I pass it to another member of the team. That person will scraplift my layout and pass it onto someone else in the team and so on.
At the end of the 2 months, team leaders will reveal all their team layouts in one go and you will be able to see the progression as the "whisper" got passed on! Its fascinating to see how the layouts change.
Its great fun to play and its interesting to see the whispers challenge layouts and how they each differ from the next. Plus, you get to make some new friends in your teams!
So----act now and sign up today!!!!!!

Scrap Whispers Challenge #5
I probably should have posted this a few days ago, but.......here it is anyway. You still have a few days to complete a layout!
Check out what the Scrap Whispers design team has created at the Scrap Whispers Blog!
Challenge #5: Fall Into me
In honor of Fall, do a layout with the word "Fall" in the title (or some variation...falling, fell, etc.). Use your imagination. The word "fall" has so many connotations, it can be about literally falling (as in falling down, falling in love) or about the season Fall. Just get creative with it.Check out what the Scrap Whispers design team has created at the Scrap Whispers Blog!
